Foreword
To say that Ron Brown wrote these many weekly “heart felt” newsletters easily would be exaggerating. He is a great writer, great woodworker, and a happily married Christian man. Included in all that he is, all that this rich and meaningful book entails are wonderfully insightful searches. He goes into the depths of man’s motivations for life’s meaning. Inspired not only by Ron Brown’s direction, but the direction and yielding to the person the Holy Spirit, Ron Brown makes sense of life’s work and creativity one brief lesson at a time.
Many years ago in California our small family grew together because of the love of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. We prayed out of our need and He answered, He gave us direction and He sustained us. “Despise not small beginnings” sayeth the Lord. So out of the need for a table, Ron used what we had. He looked for what was readily available for building resources and in Burbank California he made a beautiful trestle table with pallet material that was scrap. Next we sold three tier beautiful planters from scrap. Next we sold anything and everything we could make or even think of selling with ideas and inspiration Ron had thought of. We had faith and our faithfulness and commitment to each other through God made the way sure. Believing that you can do anything if you rely on God’s direction makes the journey direction unquestionable. He will always see you through.
And so each newsletter Ron Brown writes is prayed over before even starting. He prays to be inspired by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. He waits and if he does get a clear go ahead in his heart, then he continues to wait and sometimes even talks to his wife about it. Ron Brown is truly a kind and dedicated man of God and a reliable personable guy. I dearly love him and his great family. “Newsletters in the sand” is a really good phrase for this series. He adds hope, love, and kindness in each letter hoping to inspire all those who desire to understand a small way that they might be better than they are by themselves. Reading his works will give you a chance to grow spiritually into an exhorter, a leader, and a more reliable person in this life and the next. By God’s grace and mercy we will always be able to accomplish anything worth living for in this life. So be inspired by the Good News. Love you all Sweet Janice Brown, because as Ron says “Where ever you go there you are.”
