A new season

As I begin season number nine with the woodworking shows there have been some very significant changes this time around. The biggest change is that Sweet Janice, my beautiful bride, has also joined us on the woodworking show circuit. The second biggest change is that for the first five shows we pulled a huge fifth wheel camping trailer that and stayed out full–time without coming home between shows. Although we will be driving to the next 11 or 12 shows we are going to leave the fifth wheel at home for most of them in order to avoid the really cold weather with potentially lots of snow and ice so common in the north. The

Sweet Janice will be introducing you to the joys of CA finishing for smaller turned items such as pens, bottle stoppers, turned lidded boxes, etc. It’s a lot easier and faster than it looks and Sweet Janice has become an expert at CA finishing. I would like to invite you to stop by and visit with Sweet Janice when the woodworking shows come to a town near you and watch one of her demonstrations.

I have added several new items to the line this year and have even more coming in January. I will be sharing them with you throughout the coming months and I think you’ll find them useful, innovative and a great value as always. Keep an eye on www.RonBrownsbest.com for introductions and information.

I write this just after Thanksgiving 2014 from our home in Atlanta Georgia. With just under 7000 miles and five shows under our belt already, I have some pretty good insights as to what the rest of the season holds. It is heartwarming to hear the comments regarding these newsletters and to hear from so many of my subscribers who have universally encouraged me to keep them coming. Whenever one begins a new venture, such as my newsletters, it is impossible not to question everything about it including the direction, the flavor and the personal revelations which inevitably surface over time.

I strive to provide positive reinforcement and to convey the belief that with the proper amount of effort anyone can do the things I teach. It is very humbling to stand before folks who thanked me for having been their inspiration as they shared with me how my videos and demonstrations set them on a different path. This happened no less than half a dozen times in the first five shows. All I can say is thank you for allowing me to help.

I am rolling out my special Christmas sale as we speak and you will see it in the next couple of days. I hope there is something in this sale which you were looking for and that it will help make your Christmas special. From the Brown family to your family we wish you a very Merry and Blessed Christmas season and look forward to seeing you somewhere on this year’s tour. Thank you for all of your support and for your patronage. It allows us to do what we do.
