Thank You
With the USA Thanksgiving Holiday next week, I wanted to take a minute to say thanks for a few things and to wish you and your family a happy and blessed thanksgiving season.
This isn’t how I pictured my future back when Sweet Janice and I were first married nearly 50 years ago. We were not even in our twenties when our journey began so how could we see where life would take us? My world view was so narrow back then that I am somewhat embarrassed. We were both typical small town kids still firmly encased in our parents’ ideologies. Then life happened.
Children came then grand children with great grandchildren to follow all too soon. Careers came and went, houses came and went, we even moved clear across the country without knowing a soul. We awakened spiritually and began our walk with God. We see his hand on every part of our lives from our home, to our business, to our family and the ones they have chosen to travel life’s journey with. I am happy to report that our family is as imperfect as yours probably is. We are happy and we pull together as a family with the Bible as our manual for living and that makes all the difference.
I read the Holy Scriptures and stop to ponder the verse that says “I will pour you out a blessing that there will not be room enough to contain it.” Then I realize that perfectly describes our family. “With long life will I satisfy you” Is another appropriate verse. There isn’t enough room to list all of the material blessings life has brought us so let’s just say thank you for being you. Thank you for allowing us to be who we are and to serve you when you need something we can help with and thank you for playing your part in our lives.
You can’t imagine how much each of your notes mean to Sweet Janice and me when you take time to write and especially when you send photos of your projects. We read them all and treasure every one. We see many of you out on the woodworking show circuit and we greatly appreciate seeing every smiling face on folks who take time to stop and visit with us even if it’s only for a few minutes. As we both approach middle age and face our own mortality, time seems to speed up and pass more quickly than the year before.
Every day, every week brings something and someone new to be thankful for and we are. From the Brown family to yours, we wish you a Happy Thanksgiving because wherever you go, there you are.

Ps 91:14-16 NIV Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
